- Description
- We used to believe that the human brain developed from infancy up until adulthood, but then stopped changing. Although some of the brain’s capabilities can decline in older age, we now know that the brain can continue to develop new neural connections throughout our lives. There are countless older adults who show that we are never too old to learn. For example, at 91 years Colette Bourlier was awarded a PhD from the University of Fanche-Compte, France, and at 99 years Leo Plass graduated from Eastern Oregon University.
